Fall my be my favorite
season but December is my favorite month. To me it is Christmas,
the whole month from the first day until the twenty-sixth. I must admit I don't
like the last week of December because it's all over and I usually didn't get
what I wanted to do for Christmas finished so I have a feeling of
incompleteness. Since I actually start celebrating and listening to Christmas
music in September, I could go for six whole months of Christmas. Weird, I know
but that's *snogirl for you. To me, Christmas is Christ. That's why I celebrate
the month in the first place. Snowmen are my favorite symbols of Winter in case
you all did not notice. We don't live in an area where we don't get very much
snow and maybe can squeak out one, maybe two snowmen. That's why I made SnoVille.
I can build SnoFolk all year long.
My favorite December
activities have always been decorating for Christmas, shopping, caroling, baking
cookies and other goodies, wrapping presents and watching Christmas specials on
TV. I just totally surround myself in Christmas. My hearts desire is to be able
to visit Leavenworth, Washington for their Christmas Lighting Festival early in
December. It would truly a site to behold. I also like to have guests come to
visit during Christmas. Entertaining for the holiday is my favorite ways of
sharing my love of the holiday.
My family has several
December birthdays which aren't grand for the pocketbook or the person
that has to put up with both major gift getting occasions in the same
month. My oldest daughter 12\30, both sons-in-law 12\4 & 12\29, one
grandson 12\29 and then my sister is 1\1. I can't figure out why they
couldn't all be born more in the middle of the year, like me in May. =-)
