Summer Time and the Living is Easy as George Gershwin says in his song about the summer months. The living is easy for the kids as they are out of school for the summer. The living is not easy for Moms and Dads as they have to deal with their blessed darlings all summer. This is the traditional time for families to take their yearly vacations, fun but stressful no matter where you go.
There are three summertime holidays to observe and celebrate in the U.S. Memorial Day usually kicks off summer and Labor Day ends the season. Somewhere sort of in the middle is the main patriotic holiday, the 4th of July or otherwise know as Independence Day. Picnics, parades, games, bands and fireworks abound in every city and town. I would say that the 4th of July is probably the biggest holiday of the year next to Thanksgiving and the December holidays.
